Pinocchio Collected Edition

The Pinocchio Collected Edition was scheduled to come out well before the holidays, but in a weird twist of fate, it was delayed and now it just so happens to hit comic book shelves on my birthday (Jan. 20th). So, needless to say it is a nice birthday present : ) Go and check it out if you get a chance. Also, Victoria at Major Spoilers just posted an interview with me, so if you are interested, check it out here: http://www.majorspoilers.com/archives/31637.htm/

Very cool interview. Reading it, two questions crossed my mind if you get the chance to answer -

1. Do you/have you ever had an agent find work for you? I'm not sure if this is something I want to look into and I've heard artists speak for and against it. and
2. Do you think it was more beneficial to go to cons and walk around to make connections, or was it better to just get a table and have people come to you?

Thanks a bunch and keep up the incredible work.

Hey Bryan! To answer your questions:

1. No, I don't have an agent and your right, a lot of people like them, some hate them. Its really up to the artist. They are really good if you hate the business side of art (negotiating, contracts, etc.).

2. If you wait around for people to come to you, you could be waiting a while. Art Directors are usually very busy people and going to them is your best chance to make connections. Still get the table to showcase your work, just take a break now and then to mingle.

Hope that helps!
